Just called the backdoor number to Cap 1. Got a $300 cli. Now I am up to $800.. Between this card and my BB store card with cl of $1100 I am getting into the big leagues. Yahoo! Thanks everybody.

As long as you don't have any late payments and show activity every month, you will be fine.

Rob, JcPenney's usually increased your limit to $1,500 after 6 months of solid payment history. That is the what members on this site has posted in the credit card reviews/comments section.

JcPenney's card is good with CLI's so you made the right choice Rob.

I hope so because right now all I can afford there is small appliances or towels. ($150 cl) I will try it for a few months and if I don't get an increase, I will sock drawer it. I use the walmart card more. ($300 cl). Besides walmart is 10 miles away, Penneys is about 40 miles away.

Have you called them and asked why? You remember that GEMB had an issue where they had some of our accounts leaked (or our personal info) and then they frozed our accounts until we called in to verify it. Did this happen to you?

GEMB should just think about closing the company. I don't know how they make their money when they are not favored by any customers.

Actually I didnt know that some GEMB accounts leaked! My account is not frozen bc I can still use it. If it did happen to me then im not aware.: I will call them when my new stmt cuts after 07/28 and see about a CLI! Ill keep yall posted!
