Helloooo FG. Just wanted to know if you are aware that Ttravelocity and Hooters does not have a "Apply Now" link under the review page? Thanks!

Replied by Finance Globe on topic So should we start rating
So should we start rating now? I have 12 cards that I can go ahead and start rating on since it is new. That will get the ball rolling for starts because we have over 300 members that can get at least 2,500 raitngs in. Or should we wait for your signal?
Please start now. More ratings the better so people that only want to read through detailed/informative reviews will be able to do so (An option that I will add soon).
Thanks!

You may notice the new credit card review rating system if you are logged in. It's simple fast and gets the job done.
I know that since this is a new feature, it will take a little time for the great people here to rate reviews. So these features won't be visible until we get a fair amount of ratings.
Here's the scoop: Reviews can be rated on a scale of 1-5. All votes/ratings are confidential to you. Our system will know what you have rated, so each review can only be rated once by you. Comments cannot be rated.
When we get enough ratings for the reviews, I will make a special column that will show something like:
Quality Score:
3.6 - Rated by 22 Users
More to come!

Thanks Meya!
I plan on making this site for the people here. So know that this isn't one of those sites that are created and abandoned. This space will always be here for you, and anyone that needs it - forever free!

Hi Meya and Paula,
I plan on keeping the structure of the reviews the same (Main review + Comments) I think that it is working well. Based on Meya's suggestion a few months ago, and Paula's comment, I plan on adding either a seperate database, so members can post all of the cards they applied for, and with what credit score from which company. I.E. Marathon MasterCard - 714 Score - Equifax - 15Feb05 - Optional: State, recent delinquincies, household income, credit limit given, & time at residence.
I think that an addition to the reviews will be beneficial as Paula mentioned such as:
- Did you apply online?
- Was an instant decision given?
I want to add that making these changes takes time and planning. Allot of time and planning... I wish that I could snap those magic fingers of mine and make it happen, but the computer code world doesn't make it that simple . It takes a little time and understanding. I expect that I will get this all worked out within the next couple of weeks.
Meya, as far as your questions regarding getting paid from credit cards: We do get commissions from most of the offers that are available on-line. This is how we can manage keeping this site alive. Thanks for referring your friends. However, I do not want to be an "in your face" type of site, so I decided not to put ads or links everywhere. There is the "Credit Cards" link on the top of every page that people can go to and find a card in about 10 seconds. Also, in every review, there are links to that card. This is all that I think is ever needed. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks!
Mike

Replied by Meya on topic I agree to the suggestions
I agree to the suggestions that Paula has stated, and would love to input my cards to the query, but there is a flip side to that situation. Isn't this going to be a duplicate to the review board where you just changed for us to write a review for the card and to post cmments? And where you have given information for those to select a card according to thier credit situation (poor-excellent & scores)? I mentined this before but I forgot about it until Paula reminded me from reading her post. I think it would be awsome to add, but please add a slot where individuals can tell what cb was pulled when they applied. Pulls and scores are whats happening in the credit world today. That is the number one question asked besides the baddies.
*********The "Remember Me" is still having amnesia*******
Fg, do you get credit for someone applying for a card from you website? If so, add some links in the network (ie, poor credit cards-excellent) that has the "Apply Now" button available. When you get everything up and running such as what Paula stated, individuals can apply from your site instead of giving the next board credit. Also there should be some links visual for those who are here that has not already signed up with a credit monitoring service. Basically what I am trying to say is that "It's better for us to support the board we are dedicated to instead of someone elses!" FG is where I send my friends to apply for cards, some are not available to apply for. The ones that are, I put them to use. Then maybe you can add to the database the likeliness of approval rates because a lot of them states that you have no details of the approvals for certain cards.
*****Get our board up and running, what's the "Hold Up?"***** [/b]

Hello Paula,
Great points. This is something that I have been planning on. We have just moved the system over to member based and still have some work to do.
We already have individual comments available, and seems to be doing well. This allows better organization.
If anyone else has things in mind for adding to the reviews, now is a great time to let me know.
I will keep you posted!
Mike

Hey FG,
I like the request that Craig suggested about having a rating system that could be developed scoring how useful the reviews are. Some of the reviews I see don't really help much. Example: I applied for card, limit given was $300, was told will receive it within 7-10 days. Who does this help? How would this benefit me if I decided to apply for the card? This is where the scoring of the review would come into play.
Maybe you can put together a template within the reviews so when someone logs in to post theres a listing of headings that they must complete first such as:
Did you apply online: Yes
Was there an instant online decision given: Yes
What is your current credit score: 725
How many credit accounts do you currently have: 25
Do you have any current delinquencies, if so what are they: Yes, 12 collection accounts, 7 late payments, etc ..
Then leave room for people to write any additional comment associated with the review only. Its more beneficial to see this information then to read I was approved and limit given was $100.00.
Why not put a bulletin somewhere online asking everyone for their feedback on what type of information they would like to see in the reviews.
