Good idea and you are not modifying your already in place budget, equals good use of funds. In my case, I am considering opening an investment account so I can stay revenue neutral as I am paying off other debts and the increase in pay ... putting the new freed up money into a self directed investment account (never made money using a stock broker - might as well lose the money on my own)

My wife and I have seen our paychecks increase $100 or so each paycheck. We have decided to use that money for debt paydowns or little purchases around the house.

Has anyone seen their after-tax paycheck increase since the tax cuts? If so, what have people done with their increased paycheck, have they saved it or spent it?
