Wow! This is an interesting and scary article. I guess home owners should check with the BBB registry before making any kind of move towards rescue. Seems to me that they would target the sub-primed borrowers who were real desperate for approvals.
This is exactly why I want to attend first time homeowner sessions before purchasing my first home. Seems like we not only have to establish an entrance strategy to purchase a home, we have to have an exit strategy for current crisis, and before crooks like these get a hold of us. Jesus!

A neighbor selling her house was recently approached by what we suspect to be a scammer, so it's still going on. These ruthless bottom-feeders can only be stopped by informed consumers.
