The problem is, even for me, well, you know...... You have to resist temptation. When you buy things on plastic it doesnt feel like your spending real money, so its very very easy to go overboard. I try to be careful heheheheh. Big credit lines are nice but its best never to use them LOL sheesh

Thats GREAT. I know the CEO of the bank, we grew up next door to each other as children in Merrick NY. I used to kick his you know what, so if you dont like your CLI I can always go back and kick his you know what again hehehehehe

Pam, they should give you a credit line increase just because your NICE

Merrick Bank gives CLI every 6 to 8 months anywhere between 10 to 20% of your credit line. Providing your current etc etc etc

He buddie, that is a nice limit. They gave me $2k and I beleive the apr is 24%. I am giong to go through my terms paper that they sent along with the card so that I can give a more accurate result of my apr. I think the highest is 29%, and who knows, I might just have that one.

As long as we got the card, I am satisfied. It is just a start off of a good limit for us when other cards, just gave up measly $150-$500 for starts. I was so happy to see $2k until I nearly fell to the floor. A lot of people say that they try and match your highest crediit card, I have an ICON fitness card becasue I financed a treadmil through Norditrack, it is labled on my credit report as a credit card with a $2900 limit on it. Maybe that is what did it for me.

I think we should wait about 6 months or so. I had Hooters since.....3 months or so (I guess) and recevied no limit increase yet. Congratualtions buddie, the card came pretty fast. If you don't mind me asking, "What was your limit and APR?"

You are welcome for the "Welcome", and thanks for posting under the poor credit score. People really be in that room peaking alot. You just made it much better for the next person to get some good input. How do you like the board so far? Have you voted your opinions on the polls as of yet? A lot of members here has received that letter. Seems like to me you are going to be in the clear (approved) so don't think that something is wrong. Hooter's is legit and I wish you all the luck. Keep us posted on your approval and limit. Way 2 Go!

Woe Woe Woe, do you actually mean $2,100? Or am I reading the correct numbers which states $21k? Can you please clarify that for us. Thanks Sara.

Hi All I'm new to the finance network. I applied and received my Hooter's card cl $1k. My bk discharged 8/07 so far I have the following cards

Hooters - $1k - highest cl
Cap 1 Visa - $500
Cap 1 MC - $300
HH Bank MC - $300
First Premier Bank - $300 - my worst card
Direct Rewards Discover - don't know cl just approved 11/17. (today) WoooHoo!!
I have been denied for all store cards I think because I bk'd Target, Walmart & VS. I was also denied by WaMu, Credit One, My Fico scores are:

EX: 553 (FICO)
EQ 500 (FAKO)
TU: 554 (FAKO)

Should I just chill, I think I'm beginning to get the hang of applying or at least a rush. I had really good credit before so this is really hard for me. Everything I read says to get the cl and get rid of the low cl and high interest cards. I also got a new cl with cap 1 for $21,000.
Just wanting help at who might approve and who won't based on the scores I have. I'm going to get new FICO's for EQ and TU next week.
