I am so duuuh and hardley check my cr's and accounts online. I received a letter in the mail from JcPenny's and they told me Congrats, your cl has been increased to $1700 (from $1500). Hummmmm, nice letter but I am about to call them back and let them have it because when I asked for a cli in Dec 07, they gave me $1k. I did not ask and you give me a measly $200. My freaking balance is just $123. I demand a higher increase!

MsKiwi, the JcPenney's card is a great card to have on your credit report because they are good with CLI's. You being a loyal shopper to them just makes it even better because you can continue shopping there but building your credit report at the same time. It's a win-win situation.

You should have went ahead and applied. Doesn't bother me at all if someone sees me declined for a credit card. I just joke about it and tell them I will probably get denied but try it anyway. Remember, the worst thing they can do is tell you no. You shop there a lot so go for it. Its an inconvenience for me to shop there and I hate online shopping because when I pay for something, I want it right then, not 3 or 4 weeks later. Thanks for the encouragement

yeah hjm i got a 200.00 credit limit increase on 4-25-08 now i have 1200.00 and that was on my 6 month mark too.

I will probably have to talk to a credit analyst about this.

I will let BOA know that I want to be rewarded for my on-time payments through the economic depression.

Well, some creditors don't take CLI requests from consumers so there's nothing we can do about that.
