I pretty much hate HSBC bank. They were a great start, but other than that they are not getting me anywhere closer to my goals. Their customer service is less than awesome, unless you call their N. American headquarters. Then you can actually get a native English speaker that, at least, gives the illusion that they care about helping you. I have I OB 2% cashback card that is pretty nice in terms of rewards. I have had two OB accounts open for two years and no CLIs.

that is still a very cool increase... i wish one of my card with show me some love like that. lol

Well from hearing the post about them offering 1k cli's, members with the exact card better go for it:laugh:

the HSBC Platinum Mastercard and HSBC 2% Cash Back card are rebuilder cards so they are at the bottom of the barrel. Cards like the HSBC Weekender Mastercard, HSBC Platinum Visa, HSBC AMEX are Tier 1 cards.

Thanks Brian23. Im not to sure what a tier 1 card is but this is one of my cards. It was my first credit card which i got back in 2005. The other one is the same but it doesnt have the cash back and has a boat with water on it.

shiu, congrats on the CLI. I keep checkin my HSBC card and nothing seems to show up (regarding CLI). Perhaps I am not all that lucky. lol!

The platinum mastercard, is that a tier 1 card?

Both are HSBC Platinum MasterCards but only one has Cash Back. I requested for the CLI thinking i could do a balance transfer from one HSBC card to another but unfortunately they wont allow it

Whaaaaaaaat! Way to go, I am surprised HSBC is giving out that much. Which HSBC cards are you referring to?
