Discover has been courting me for about a year with an offer or two a week. I just throw them in the trash because I am so hesitant to get another card, but since the Discover feedback is so positive, maybe I should consider it.

I have never had a Discover card, but I continually hear people speak positive about them. I would definitely recommend to also have a Visa, MasterCard, and/or American Express in case Discover is not accepted. I plan on getting a Discover card this year.

Yes, and that is being transitioned to Master Card. So you are right on about when something happens.

Didn't Discover have an exclusive deal for card payments at Sam's Club for the longest time? That kind of partnership is a clever way of growing a customer base, though it could easily backfire for both parties if the public won't accept such limitations.

Love your Discover but keep a Visa and/or MasterCard in your herd. Use all of them ocassionally. Good for your credit report and just in case something happens?!

I've had this card for awhile now too and I love it. It has so many perks and benefits that I have actually thought about balance transferring my other cards and keeping only this one. I really like that they give you your free FICO score on the statement so this way you can keep track of how well you are doing. I think Discover is one of the best credit card companies around and recommend them to anyone.

Thought I would call Discover and ask for an upgrade to the "IT" card. I got "it". No problem whatsoever. The only difference between the IT card and the MORE card is that I will no longer receive those damn cash advance checks in the mail. Also the IT card comes with free fico score printed on the statement. WOO HOO....go Discover. They are so damn nice when you call in, too.

Very happy with my card, have had it about 15 months now. Noticed today on their website that they are offering $100 cash back when spending $500 in the first three months but looks like the 0% intro rate is only for 6 months, and says its only for balance transfers. Don't know when the promo started, but today is (11/04). Still, if you have been thinking about signing up check out their website or give them a call.

Actually, even sweater deal today, spend $750 within the first six months and get $150 cash back, according to their site. Can't post link sorry, but it is on the page where they compare themselves to other, leading credit cards. Don't know how long this offer is good for, but not a bad deal for those looking to sign up.

Just got a letter from Discover stating that had a promotional rate for me. I called and yes, I got 0% for six months. I have not had a 0% interest credit card ever for 12 years! This is awesome and shows that on time payments and responsible use of credit can get you back in the good graces with banks!!!!!

Awesome! Congrats!

All Discover Card holders who did NOT call in and switch to the new Discover IT Card. You may be receiving less than you should be on your cash back. According to the folks working the Discover IT Card Unit, not all the various Discover Card holders have converted. Anotherwords you could still be at 0.25% earnings when your minimum earnings could be 1% plus 2% and 5% options. Call in and have the account specialist review your Discover Card account. At this time they have not been pulling hard inquirys for the conversion. Why not earn more?

Thank you for the info Wanderer! Discover informed us to take the "More", and other cards off. They were all replaced with 2 prime and 1 student card. These are some of the nicest offers that I've seen in a while!
