That teller loves her job. I'm always in-and-out with BOA. They are a great all around bank.

Have you noticed one thing about bofa that I don't too much hear about at any other banks. I noticed that their system is much faster and their customer service is excellent and quick. Except for where I live at, those tellers are hoochies with attitudes. But, I've known them all my life nearly and we just chop it up.

For instance, if you come in there with check(s), cash, withdraw, or deposit, you are never at the desk for long. They use only a few key strokes and out comes your receipt. Now WellsFagro and US Bank is different, seems like they are typing a research paper when you make one lil funky deposit. I asked a teller, "What all do you have to do when someone is making a deposit?" She just slumped down in her seat and said, "Too much unnecessary BS!"

That's a pretty cool technology but I don't know if I want to cash my check at the ATM due to safety and security reasons. I'd rather go inside and have a teller help me out instead.

Same this here in North Texas...

I bank w. Chase tho. They recently upgraded the ATM's because about a few months ago the deposit either by check or cash would have to b put in an envelope but NOW the ATM just says insert cash and it counts it and tells you the amt just to make sure its correct; same w/ checks, its scanned and a picture is printed on your receipt. :fun:

Cool, I wonder how many other banks utilize this method

Meya that technology is in Atlanta too. You deposit your check in the atm, the machine scans your check and puts the picture of your check on your deposit slip.

I was just talking to my sister and I dont know if I had brought this up in here or not, but does bofa by your hometown have you to deposit the actual check into the atm without the envelope? Our bofa in San Francisco has you to deposit the actual check in the atm and it scans it right there. No need for going in to cash a check, they already took care of that for you at the atm machine. This is probably to slow down with the empty envelopes that comes through the machine with no money inside.:fun: I remeber doing that back in the days, now I know the meaning of "One day you will wake up":scared:

Thanks for the info FG, I am going to be much careful next time. I went through my record keepings in Microsoft Excel, and I found the glinch.....I misrecorded a bill by 20 cents. They have not hit me up yet, so I guess that I will check, recheck, and check again when paying bills.

Hi Meya!

It looks like they may have let this one go. The fees are normally accessed as soon as the overdraft takes place. Just keep an eye on it. I am not sure on their policy, but 20 cents? That would upset me, and cause me to possibly move banks if I were charged a fee for that.

Anyway, here is a citation from boa's checking overdraft disclosure (Notice "may charge":

Overdraft Items and NSF1

This is assuming that you do not have overdraft protection. If you do, the last detection of change in their overdraft protection was in May.

I have a question. Does anyone knwow if BOFA made any changes about overdraft fees? I have a "bills only" account with them and I miscalculated my deposit by $0.20. Usually they would slap a big $17.00-up fee on me, but they didn't do it. I usually check my accounts online daily, but for some reason, I had not checked BOFA's account for at least a week. To my surprise there was a red font -$0.20 on my account so I ran to the atm machine immediately just incase they did not see it. This just happened about 18 days ago, does anyone know if they are startig to do the WAMU thing? I will be waiting.
