Thanks Ms. Tomkins for the article. I was laid off in 2003 and didn't find a full time position until September 2005. I'm an IT person and had to do consulting work until I found something permanent. The article lets me know how blessed I am to have a full time position and at the same time keep me level headed enough to know nothing is written in stone and no one's position is layoff proof.
