Hello all so I was just on another credit site and people were complaining about how stingy target is with their CLIs. Another poster posted this link that may explain why they are not really seeking to give increases.

I think it has a lot to do with the amount you spend.
I spend alot there! I bought everything... well almost everything for my new apt. there... I have reached 1,000 twice which each time you reach it you get a 10% coupon. To me thats alot because im not rich ^_^ Im a few away from reaching it again... BUT idk... Maybe ill pay off and carry no balance for a few months and see what happens!

I think it has a lot to do with the amount you spend. They would reward their good customers to make sure that they don't lose them. A business is not a business until it has loyal and good-paying customers.

Hey everyone i was wondering if anyone that has a Target Red card got a increase or upgraded to a Target visa? The last one i got was around Christmas i went from 200.00 to 500.00 and i have been there since then. I rarely use the card and when i do i pay on time and more then what is due.
The Target Card is a hard one to guess... I got mine 04/2007 w/ $200 then CLI to $500 in 07/2007. Ive been stuck ever since! I love shopping at Target... So, I do use the card alot... Just the past 2 months I havent used it. Im just paying on my little ol' balance to carry some type of activity... Ive always paid on time, sometimes even paid the BIF... But IDK how they work...

Oh my God, you have seen the documentary! I love Walmart so much better than target, but when I saw that movie, I was a upset with Walmart. I have not been there in a while, but I will one day. Target, where I live, is just one big junkie store and everything is more expensive there. I shop with a basket, unless I am going to the food isle. Their Cap-n-Crunch is pretty cheap....lolI certainly don't walk in thinking I've destroyed a small business by shopping there!

Yes, I love Target very much. I like to call them the upper-class Walmart sometimes. At least there, I don't feel like trash. Not to say I AM trash. Truth is, I like Target's selection, their customer service seems better, and I certainly don't walk in thinking I've destroyed a small business by shopping there!

I have a Target that is about ten to twenty miles from where I live. I don't really shop there anymore. Have no real need to since I shop on Amazon.com and have an Amazon.com card Visa.

In my spending free days..i used to shop at Target at least 2 to 3 times a month. I would freely spend $75 to $200 each time i went into the store. Since i've stop my free spending a little over a year ago...i don't go into the store often. Know if I need a pot, pans ..household goods..i order online...free shipping most times..and free tax. this way i only buy one or two items LOL However I've notice that Target doesn't have good deals like they used too. Prices went up to. Used to get Kraft cheese for $1.19, then it went up to $1.79 now its $2.69!! When I say the price of eggs in the store ...is crazy...
Hmm....target...

I haven't seen a lot of their commercials lately! Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
You're right! I usually see them during the CBS comedy lineup Monday nights, but last night, I didn't see any. Okay, I'll hmmmm too. Remember how inundated we were with those ads this past Christmas? Yeesh. I did MOST of my shopping at Target in the hopes they'd shut up.
