Well I have a fixed 30 yr...3.5 the 1st year, 4.5 the second and 5.5 the third and it tops out on the 5.5% for the remaining 27 years. We just closed on our new house and we are moving now... Meya if you are looking to buy a house...DO it NOW! Rates are low and you can get some great deals now.

Was anyone here affected by the intrest hike that went on recently? If so, how did you manage to escape forclosure? Or, did it put an impact other financial issues. Of course all business is no one business, but this is how I learn, by listening to others advice.

I have an infamous Alt-A mortgage, fixed rate 6.75% for 30 years, well, 28 years left. I dont know what all the fuss is over the Alt-A mortgages, I think they are great.
