and I asked the guy whats up he said he was checking it out...
and
he told me since i had the annual fee waived he couldn't give me a cli he said basically what you said I should have asked for a CLI when I did it before, he told me to call back in 1-2 months I should be able to get it then..

Yes, I've never had any success with CLI's when I called regular CS. All of my CLI's came from the backdoor number.

From what I understand, it would have been a letter sent to you. You can call them and ask if you are on credit steps. Usually with the type of Capital One card you said you had it should have been on it.

No statement, I called them umm monday, and they said there was no reason at this time, it sounded like a guy from central america..

Did you call them today? They don't check your reports, they look at your payment history. Did they state the reason why you were declined?

yeah i did i got declined... I figured i would have gotten it being my credit score has gone up and my perfect 1 year payment history with them.. maybe this is the part of them tightening there belts.. i guess ill wait another 6 months then i suppose.

Well I did receive a letter saying if i did good payments by the 4th statement my cl would increase and it did I started out with 300$ and then it went to 500 is that what letter you are referring to?

It comes with the new card. Some has said it came after the card arrived. Regardless to if you seen in it or not, the cli automatically comes after the 4 statement cuts. That is only if you received the credit steps letter.

When you opened the account were you given the Credit Steps letter? I opened my Capital One nearly 11 years ago before credit steps and it took 15 months before I received a CLI. Stick with them, just give it some time.
