Everywhere that has a sizeable population in L.A. County has its craziness but Pasadena is sort of a worlds away from where I used to stay.
I guess once your relationship has been built, they will start offering specials and approving for other services.

L.A. is crazy especially out here in Pasadena. They have a branch in Van Nuys.
I joined the CU, met up with member rep. on Tuesday and opened a savings account. I didn't want a checking since BOA is a lot closer to me, I make a deposit once a week at least.
I applied for their credit card and they denied my application due to too many inquiries and high utilization.

Cireone, they have many branch locations. The one in Pasadena is about 10-15 minutes away from my house.

I will joined my first CU. This looks like a pretty big CU. I believe they have about 350,000 members and since I was eligible to become a member with them, I joined. I like their website and seems like I am going to like working with them.

Cireone, have you had any previous experiences with Kinecta? I looked at their membership requirements and it seems like I have a shot at becoming a member. Thanks for the info.
I never banked with them but a past job offered membership into Kinecta provided that it was a direct deposit. I would say look atthe requirements and the rates they offer, do comparisons with other potential CUs.

That man face on there sort of had me like, "Ewwww, NO"
Well bro, you see that their visa's can go as high as 9.96-17.00% depending on what kind you select. Have you compared other cu's cc's in your area? You can step a little further out if cc's are what you are targeting. Have you tried banks that are like 1hr away (different cities)? You will still be in their demographic area.

Their products don't seem to be as good as other CU's so I'm still thinking about it. Here's their link:

LAFCU's membership requirement is if you live in LA County, you are eligible to become a member.

Meya, I looked at their membership eligibility and I can't meet the requirements because I do not work or live in the cities mentioned on their site. They are way up north from where I live and work so I guess I have no luck with them. Thanks for the info though, I'm still interested in joining LAFCU because they are located 5-10 mins away from my house.

Hey HJM331, my sister uses this bank "Patelco". She say they are excellent especially with Loans (IE. personal and Car) and Credit Cards. I went on the site but the furthest to you is pretty far. But here is the good news, they have 3,000 shared branches in California. Use this link, then type in your zip code, and tell me what you seen.
