Hey everyone I was recently turned down by BOA, WellsFargo, Orchard, and Citi Secured cards.

I was given this bank named Public Savings Bank Secured Card. Have any of you heard of Public Savings Bank secured credit card? Please tell me more about this bank. How are they better than New Millenium and Applied?

As I was told it does not matter if a card reports secured or unsecured or does it?

Check out the BOA secured card I believe that will be a much better card for you.

That's the problem, I have not heard anything else about it. Last I remember, HJM was saying something about them putting a hold on it (or something in that nature). All I can do is go back on what we posted about....lolz!

Well that is what was going on all last year. We were hearing that AU's will no longer be recognized and that you will have to apply for your own account. Here is an older article about it http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/DrDon/20071030_authorized_users_score_a1.asp
and here is the thread where we talked about it https://www.financeglobe.com/SocialNet/forum/showthread.php?t=443&highlight=piggybacking

But if I do recall, didn't this not fly or something? I am an AU on certain accounts and I don't have a problem with them not reporting (some I wish they wouldn't lol)....

Thank you rwmdt,

This plus what other information others gave me helped change my decision in getting a new millenium card and trying this one.

Hello ej24natl,

Here is some info on Public Savings Bank]http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS117844+02-Apr-2009+PRN20090402. Also read the terms and conditions]https://www.publicsavings.com/docs/PSB%20VISA%20CARDHOLDER%20AGREEMENT.pdf; Frequently Asked Questions]https://www.publicsavings.com/SCCfaqpop.html

Also be aware that they do charge a one-time account setup fee of $75 and if you want the card sent to you faster than the norm the fee is another $75. However, there is no annual fee.

Also it does not matter rather or not a card reports as secured (I have a BOA secured).

Hope this helps :)

:confused:I was reading somewhere online that if you are put on someone account as an authorized user that will no longer help your credit. Has anyone else heard about this?

When i had a Walmart card i was told they usually would like to see at least a string of four months of payments before requesting a cli.

That makes sense.

They like to give CLI's 4 every months and yes, they're soft pulls.
