I would send it through billpay with your bank. It usually takes no longer than two business days. Yes, they charge a fee if you pay-by-phone.

Why can't you log on to their website? They recently made me change my User ID. Call customer service and see if they can reset you. BofA used to do pay-by-phone payments for free; however, I believe they have since stopped doing that. Call customer service. Do you live in an area with a BofA branch? See if you can go into a branch and pay.

I don't have a branch anywhere near me in Ohio. It is the security prompts that are being a pain and I don't have time today to call and ask about pay by phone. Maybe I will call tomorrow, I have to work until 10 tonight (stupid holidays and manager wanting us to stay later). Maybe I should go through Chase and set it up.

I had this problem with gemb where all of their sites were temp down. I called in and they told me that by me having 1 week and some days till the due date, they would have to charge me to pay. But, if I was like 2 days or so, then they would do a courtesy payment over the phone. Chevron was the only one who let me do a courtesy payment over the phone, all the rest tripped. :upset:

The site was back up and running within hours but I was nervous, so I know how you feel. If you normally pay on-line, give it a day or two before doing the snail mail thingy, that can take forever during these holidays especially if it is no where near your home.

I ordered some replacements screws to my new grill that I purchased from Lowe's that was already put together. Now, remind you this was around Nov18-20. When I received my screws, it was this Dec 17, I don't think I would push that through snail mail, I would rather fed ex it:laugh:

My BofA Amex bill is due the 4th of January and with the holidays and all, I am worried that the payment won't be credited on time if I ship it through snail mail. The BofA website has not let me log in to the website so I can pay it. Do they charge a convienence fee for pay by phone? A lot of companies do that and most of my banking is online. What irks me is that I recieved the paper bill yesterday in the mail.

I think that they are being cautious with accounts opened in states where the housing crisis has hit the hardest.

yikes, thats disheartening. Here i thought i was making headway with my card types. Well at least ill be rid of the first premier cards, which i am cancelling after i get theses cards. thanks guys

You are making headway. Like HJM said, HSBC/Orchard is good for rebuilding and then after a year get a Capital One card and ditch the HSBC because it likely will not grow with you.

As I always say, "Don't expect CLI's from HSBC. Just use the card, make payments on-time, build history on your report, then forget about them."

Sorry to say that in typical HSBC fashion you probably won't see many CLI's with this card.

Im sure they have been reissued. I really dont know anything about the Choice card

Choice was a credit card that Citibank test marketed in Baltimore and Denver in the 80's, I think 1987. Well, it wasn't a Visa or MasterCard, it was supposed to be its own card (like Discover), it was marketed towards the lower income peeps. Well, it flopped so Citi stuck a Visa logo on it but still called it Choice. When I worked at Mervyn's 10 years ago I saw a few but I have not heard or seen one in forever.

Hey Rivas, do some people still have that Choice card or has Citi reissued them as Citi cards?
