I have been receiving a ton of pre-approval letters from Capital One lately. I literally get five or six of them a week. I haven't accepted yet, but maybe I should since Capital One is a pretty good card to have.

Comenity Bank.

I am happy they gave me store credit cards. However they will give you there store cards. Then when you apply for vIsa cards, mastercards and other major cards and then they say due to bankruptcy and open store cards we cannot approve you. I think that's nasty. When I pay the store cards off. I am going to put them in a box in my closet and leave them there. I really thought I was rebuilding my credit and all I have done was hurt it.

In the event you may need a Visa or MasterCard, Capital One is good along with secured cards for a year may also help. Food for thought. Depends on credit file.

When I first applied for a Walmart CC my limit was $150, now $1400. They are really good about increases, like others have said, with good usage and a good payment history. I always pay more than the minimum due and pay off the balance quickly. Plus Walmart offers no interest for 6-12+ months depending on how much you spend. Also Macys, has been instrumental in helping me to grow my credit. I want to say I started out around $600ish (honestly I can’t recall at the moment what I started out with exactly) and now I am at $2K and this is all in just over a year. I’m not a fan of Comenity Bank. Just feel like their increases are in smaller increments and their initial credit lines can be low to start out with.

Pre approved credit cards might look very cool and convenient option to get a credit card and to use it because you are pre approved and the bank hasn’t checked your financial background but from where I see this is a trap they provides a illusion of comfort and then they check your background details, provides you easy loans and charges interest on those loans which are not necessary at all, and when you understand this scheme you have already become their customer.

Trying to apply for credit card walmart credit card

In my reading some writers have said an in store application really works. My app was online so I can't say. It appears Walmart is more flexible with giving credit line increases once they see an approved card with some minor usage and payment.
