Just found out my Walmart card increased from $250 limit to a $700 limit.. :innocent: Opened in November 2011.

I got greedy and checked my Capitol One account no increase yet. But I imagine they will only go up to $500 tops.

I have been carefully following this thread, anxiously awaiting to post my own credit score increases but atlas, I got my cards starting in Nov of 2011 and was expecting to have to wait a full six months for any increase. Then yesterday I noticed my Amazon card has jumped from an initial limit of $600 to $1300 in just 5 short months. (Insert big cheesing face here!!)

I just use the card every one or two and pay more than the minimum, all of my credit line increases have been automatic.

I got yet another increase on my Wal-Mart Discover card, my new limit is $3,300 up from $2,250. People on here are constantly saying that GECRB is a bad company and will drop your credit line for no reason, or issue an extremely low credit limit, I haven't had ANY bad experiences whatsoever with them.

WOW! What's the scoop? You just got one from them! Nice increase. Makes the Wal-Mart Discover Card way more useable. Could travel with that limit and have room to spare. Yes, over the last three years several FG posters including myself have seen GEMB reduce or close their accounts. So, folks have not been happy. Frankly, they closed my Men's Warehouse account which had a CL of $1,500 for inactivity (they were right as I moved a long way from any of their stores but it still left a bad taste - even if they were right). Have had a Wal-Mart Store Card and closed it myself due to lack of use (didn't want it close by the credit grantor) and still have my JCPenny's Card and use it a lot.

Was checking credit report and notice my walmart card was increased from $700 to $900, I did not intiate the increase either. WOOO HOOO......once I get laptop paid off (they were running 0% financing) I will be able to get a flat screen TV. Hope they have the same promotion for that.

After six months with my Discover card I called in to request an increase in credit line and after about 2 minutes the guy comes back and says "congratulations your new credit line is $3,000". I LOVE Discover and will keep it forever, this is by far my favorite card.

I have to say their a good company, too. I did close my Discover recently, but only because I was using wrongfully for longterm purchases. I needed a reality check so I reduced my credit portfolio. Now I'm just rolling with three cards.

I saw on another finance board that HSBC was taking requests for CLIs again. I called on my RZMC and requested a CLI and was granted an instant $520 increase (wierd). Softpull on EFX and my total limit now stands at $1570 (Started at $750) Since BB now offers the special no interest financing on this card as well as the store card, I think I will be keeping this one for a while.

Hey hey hey... you are making progress to a new credit world! Congrats!

That is a definite benefit of a Credit Union. i did something similar to that in June with BFG here in Ohio. Car Loan, Credit Card, Motorcycle, Overdraft line of credit... all with the same TU inquiry.

Congrats, this is good to know! :cheesing:

I was given a credit limit increase in December to my CU Visa; from $3,000 to $4,000. This was done at the time of my auto loan, and utilized the hardpull required for the auto loan.
