I just checked my statement online for my Hooters MC and to my surprise an automatic CLI of $200 for a total of $700.

I opened this card 6/2008 and it took a total of 11 statements. Im planning on closing this card before the year hits since I have no use for it and I dont feel like paying an AF on a card I dont use and specially when I have better cards.

Yeah they are pretty slow, but I am glad that you have your cli gurrrl!

I don't, because prime cards has annual fees, I have seen amex with fees running $150-up. My hooters fee is billed monthly $3, so I think that $36 annually is pretty fair.

I recommend closing cards with an AF.

I called Macy's today and aske for a CLI. The rep on the phone put me on hold for a few minutes and granted me a $500 CLI which isn't bad at all during these times and I will take it. My current CL is now at $5,300 and I just hope they don't decrease my limit.

@Meya girl you are a credit junkie!! Me too...shhhh, I get my cards together, call everyone once a month and ask if I'm due for an increase!

@Brian23 - I applied for Macy's in April 2008 and got turned down! I applied again in August 2008 after having my Target card 3 months and was approved with a $600 limit. So about 8 months. When the rep came back to the phone and said "We're increasing your guideline to $1000." I nearly wet myself, I said, "Pardon me?" Then I remembered everything Meya ever said, ahem, "TAKE THE INCREASE AND RUN GIRL." I said thanks and hung up and posted here!

I was told that there was three types of the best buy reward zone cards..the gold,the platinum and the gold with a fee.the first two you can get decent cli but the one with the fee(annual)you're pretty much out of luck:upset:

Get out of here??? $1,400??? That's awesome.... Why on earth can I not get the store card wit Best Buy. I applied for it back in Jan and they approved me for another MC. I told the rep, I already have a MC with you guys, can you combine the limit? And he said to me; I cant help you with a credit increase (and than he transferred me to India), but Im going to have to withdrawal your application since your already a member.... When I spoke to the CLI department they said they couldn't approve me for one....

Moral of this story, I should've kept my mouth shut when they were gunna give me another MC.... But I felt another 59 AF was ridiculous.....

Chevron used to hook me up every 6 months, but they went stale on me. A lot of these creditors knew about this recession before we did....lol. They knew what they were doing, while we sat here trying to express how good we are paying, they did not give a hoot about that. We can preach all we want to, I bet people in the high 700's are getting the same rejections as us 400's-600's.

I guess I shouldn't expect any CLI's from Chase anytime soon.

I have rarely seen them hand out CLI's on their own. If you ask for a CLI it will be a hard inquire.

I know that Capital One is not known for CLD's but I just hope that they don't reduce my CL when I BT the balance off that card to my HSBC card.
