I applied for this card at macys store and was approved for $1200. Wow that was awesome... I didn't expect this since I just turned 18... Think macys like giving out credit to new people..

I am so happy for you. That is a lot of cl for someone your age, I only got $300 when I first started off, I take it you are an AU on someone's account. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes I am an authorized user on someone elses account. Its an AMEX... I was added as a user 3 months ago!!

That really helped out for you when you went to Macy's. It really helped you with the nice limit, because had you applied without being an AU, they probably would have given you a lower limit or maybe even a decline. Do you know what your current scores are? Also, please keep us updated with your overall usage with the card. You are going to love them, trust me!

Citi is very generous in grading high credit limits to people without credit histories, I got my first card - Citi Dividend Platinum Card for College Students with $3000 CL.
