I have a macys card since 2003 and I am a silver card holder with a $2000 limit... And today I just received a Visa card from macys for $5000 and they told me that both of my accounts will remain open.... I just love macys... APR is high but I pay it off full each month..

On your new card and awesome scores. I love Macy's too, especially their coupons and discount opportunities. You're right to never revolve a balance on that Visa, the apr is way too high, I used to have one. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new card.

The Macy's card is a great card to have. The coupons and upgrades are worth it alone.
Sounds like you have a Platinum account which means you spend $1000 a year. I have a Gold Star Rewards.
I do not agree with the Macy's Visa however. You will now have two trades from Macy's on your credit report and the Visa has a very high APR so watch out for that.
When I applied in 2007 they gave me the Visa without me knowing, that sucker was closed the minute I got it.
