It took 3 years to rebuild my credit from an astonishing 420, due to student loans and pure carelessness mismanaging my finances. I received a preapproval from WAMU platinum two years after opening a checking account with WAMU bank. It was for $1500, and its my first preapproval offer for over $1000. I accepted the offer online and received an instant approval. My FICO is now 650. Very happy so far.
