divadonot's review: Well I did the application with Orchard and they approved me for the secured card. It's a start on the road to repair so I am not complaining at all. I was not even going to try my luck with BoA because I had a charge off with them with my government card (long story lol). How long does it take to get the card once you send in the deposit?

I don't have any experiences with Orchard Bank secured cards but I have heard that it usually takes about a month to receive the card. Did you mail them a check or did you make an electronic deposit/payment (if that's a possible)?

They have the option to pay online but I was going to mail in a money order instead.

Hey bro, it can take up to 2 weeks or less. Diva, you also have the choice of paying for faster processing with the card. Just keep in mind that there has been members in here explaining that Orchard secured card does not offer unsecured. I have read them in a few postings. Sorry you were not able to go with Bofa, but you did what you could do for the moment. Better cards will come through, just keep up the payments with who you have and everything will fall in place for you.

From what I hear, this card can never be unsecured. So my advice would be to use it for a year and then see if you can get a Capital One card or a secured Citibank or US Bank card and then ditch this one before you have too much history with it.
Good luck.

I have had this card for about 6 months and it has been great... You can pay and check as much as you want online... Got my card in 2 weeks... Has helped my scores, etc. I have heard that you have to keep in 18 months for it to go unsecured, but if after 19 months it doesn't, then cancel it. It will still be a positive record.
