Applied for this one after getting the Bank of America American Express. Went through the application. Got approved but they didn't tell me for how much. Called customer service and they told me I was approved for $8000.
Now that I have all the card brands in my wallet, I AM DONE with credit cards! I will see if they can get me to $10k when I activate my card.
Scores are 750+ on Equifax and Experian and 727 on Experian. Not sure which one they checked but it doesn't matter.

I screwed up with Discover 10 years ago (in college) and had my card closed. I had paid them off 9 years ago. I was not sure how they would treat me since I was an ex defaulter and paid back later. Seems like Discover will give you another card if you have cleaned up your credit.

I have had this card since April and love the 5% back catigories that they have. You have to sign up for them though.

You'll love this card, don't forget to sign up for the 5% cashback this quarter.
I got mine several weeks ago, and at activation asked to be bumped up, and they suggested I wait 6 mos for them to review and increase credit line.
You can request it, but is hard pull as Discover is VERY conservative in its lending.
Next to Citi, this is my favorite card

No More Hard Pulls on 2008-11-11
I will not be seeking any more credit and no more hard pulls on any accounts. $8000 CL is more than plenty for me to do everything and then some. If they give me a CLI, good. If not, $8k is quite enough. I already have over 40k in credit limits so I am fine.

I got a CLI from Discover two weeks ago. I was bumped to $10,400 after having this card for merely 3 months.
