Forgot to add this review. I have been a customer of B of A for about 2 years now and because of that, I utilize online banking where I can check the details of my account. Less than 24 hours after I accepted the 99/500 counter-offer (they debited my account on the spot of course), I checked my account the next morning and the 99/500 account was already setup. So I don't need to worry about any extra logins I can just manage all my B of A accounts from one screen. That is so cool!

That's good. Most banks are doing that nowadays. I have a capital one money market account, and I can see it when I check either of my 2 credit accounts. My girlfriend also has Chase, and they do it the same way. If only BOA could make the payments faster with internal accounts. For example, if you make a payment to your credit account from your checking account, it isn't immediate, and still takes the same time to process as it would if you used another banks account... But hey, you can't win them all, right?

Something is always better than nothing. I am just grateful they counter-offered me because as I have read in some of the posts on the forum, not everyone gets a counter-offer. Maybe there system is set to pick applicants at random like every 3rd or 4th denial gets a counter-offer.

I don't know what their criterea are. I do know that 1) You can't be delinquent in any of your BoA accounts (even if you are overdrawn in a checking account) and 2) You can't have a record on Chex Systems, since you need a savings account (or something like it) to get the secured account.
