honeyb's review: I am still lmao about this. I applied for C1 last week and I do recall them declining me and yesterday I got the card in the mail with a $300 CL, 0% APR until Feb 2009, thereafter 14.9% APR and a $29 AF. The envelope said " this is the information you requested" and lo and behold it was this card. I called and activated the card of course, CS was great. I plan to immdediately pay the $29 fee and place the card in my sock drawer and only make very small purchases and pay the balance off. That is the right way to do it so that I can get CLIs, correct? Wow!!! Thanks C1.

I Love FG And A Huge Thank You!!! on 2008-10-21
Thank you Meya,
I have only been here a week and my have been "re-opened" to the good and wise use of credit. I don't know what came over me but I was bitten by the credit bug and so far the itch isn't that bad. LOLLLLL!!!
My attitude before last week was to use cash, cash, cash. Yes, cash is great but the lack of it can limit you too. I reasoned with myself that there is nothing wrong with having credit cards as long as we use them wisely and have them in the event of an emergency or if we get stressed out on our high-paying jobs (rolling eyes), we can at least get away for a night or two without having to worry about not having enough cash to do so.
From what I can tell, FG and its members strives to help educate and prevent misuse and abuse of credit cards. Thank you all so much for what you are doing.

CONGRATS!! on 2008-10-21
Wow! It's nice to hear surprising approvals like these! I do agree with your reasoning about credit. Cash is king, but always good to have some good credit.
Afterall, we are all judged by credit(unfortunately), but its a world in.
Enjoy your card, Cap One will take care of you if you take care of them.

Congrats! on 2008-10-21
I admire your plan to use your cards wisely. It will definitely guide you to the right path and you will see your scores increase in the meantime. Make sure you make your payments on-time, don't go over your limit, and you will see the increases knocking on your door.
Good Luck

CapOne does there CLI (auto increase) in 3 months... You just use your card once then either make 3 on time payments or pay in full and you will get an increase... My very first cap oncard started @ 300 and then 3 months later was 500 then 800 and so on Good luck with your new card... Welcome to the Capone family... And CONGRADS!!!
