Applied with a 696 FICO that was recently pulled. Have about a total CL of 3500 - 500 utilized. Guess, I have to wait a few more years since I am "rebuilding" as of last September.

It's alright, I would hold off on AMEX right now until they get their act straight. I have an AMEX card and it's not seeing any usage because they F/R'ed me before the first statemetnt cut.

Well don't worry try next year but there are now being very tight with credit lines so for now you haven't lost anything.

AMEX is going through a tuff time right now. Just wait a while and then try again, you will eventually be approved

I have had my new Blue card for over a month and bought a new computer on it. So far they have not F/R'd me or lowered my $10,500 limit.
You don't want this one anyway why pay a fee to use a credit card? Wait until next year and go for a Blue or Delta Gold Sky Miles.

Either wait until later to apply again if you really want Amex, or ask Citi to do a conversion to their Amex brand.
