Congrats on the new Citi card! I'm glad to read that you got your foot into the door with Citi. Take care of this card and they will take care of you. It will also open doors to the other prime banks. Just let the new account age, keep your account in good standing, watch the approvals roll for you in the near future.
Good Luck

Congrats on your new Citi card! You are now in the top tier bank issuer. CitI will grow with you and will help to strenthen your credit report. Hjm said it, let that new account age, don't charge more than you can pay in full each month as Citi likes to see lots of available credit left after each billing cycle, and you'll see some nice increases in no time. Also, keep your inquiries at a low as well.
I've been an employee of Citi, and have been a cardholder for over 20+ years, in fact it was the only card that stuck with me when I nearly filed for BK back in 2000, that didn't raise my apr or reduce my cl, due to medical issues.

I had this card too. I actually called Citi and have them convert it to a Dividend Platinum Select in 2004. I highly recommend that you enroll in some sort of rewards program because Citi really has some great ones. Dividend and Drivers Edge namely.
I use the cash back I earn every year to pay for my license plate fees. Colorado has ridiculously high fees!

Great idea Colonative... I could do the same for license plate fees and the ridiculous personal property taxes we pay here in Myrtle Beach.
Great tip there!
