swipe46's review: Have been reading review on this site for about a month and have picked up some good information... Thanks to all of you. Last Sunday went to Home Depot, where I shop a lot (only because it's close to home). Wanted to there cc, but have been hesitant since I have a BK from 2003 and from some reviews, people say Citi is not BK friendly, anyway went up to CS and and applied and was instantly approved for $800 CL. I made my purchase for about $95.00 (which will be paid in full when the 1st statement comes in) and left with a smile on my face. One added note, I previously had a Home Depot card prior to my BK, but is had a zero balance with no negatives, don't know if that played a factor or not.

Congrats on your approval, and enjoy the card!!
This is a nice card to have from Citi, and over time with good payment history, you should see your credit line really grow.
Also, love Home Depot!!
If you don't mind, would you share your scores when you were approved, and which credit bureau did they pull from? Besides the BK from 2003, were there any baddies on your report such as c/o's or anything else??

Congrats on the new approval! I don't have this card but I have heard from others that this card grows with you as long as you make the payments on-time and use the account responsibly. You are doing the right thing by paying off your balance in full before the statement cuts because store cards carry a high interest rate.
This is good card to help you rebuild your credit. Have you been able to get any other cards after your BK?

Citi is BK friendly and has been for me. I have Exxon Mobil, Macys, Bloomingdales all approved on Citicards.com. I was declined for the Citi Platnium Select and AAdvantage only because of too many inquiries not because of any BK but will try again in the future. Good luck.

From the last time I had checked, my FICO scores where hovering around 670-690. Aside from my BK, there were no other baddied on my cr's. The other cards I have are US Airways, plat. With a 8K CL, Aspire with a 4500 CL, Wamu at 8,500, Fifth Third Plat. At 10K and Republic Bank Plat. At 8K. I keep them all at low balances and have been paying them on time.

Very happy to hear of your approval. I know it will make others with BK less hesitant to apply. Keep us updated with your overall usage of the card.
