rsty99's review: Approved for $700, no af, at 19%. Just wanted to add another store and this and JC Penny are where I do shop most of the time. I also see Walmart has a 12 month no interest on purchase of $250 may take advantage of that. Take care everyone.

Congrats! on 2008-09-15
Congrats on the new card(s)! Hope you enjoy them with the holidays just around the corner. As I always say, "Store cards are the way to go for utilization and credit building."

Good Card To Have... on 2008-09-15
Congrats on the new card... I believe you can use it at Sam's Club, too. I have a Sam's Club card and can use that at Walmart so haven't bothered to apply for a Walmart card...

Thanks Everyone on 2008-09-15
I don't think you could place a value on the information we share on this site. It allows you to see a side of the credit industry that would normally be behind closed doors to most consumers. I have not applied for any credit since my layoff in 2002 until now and will now sit back and hopefully in a few years look at buying a home again. Thanks again.

Congrats on 2008-09-16
Do you mind sharing your Fico score and or which bureau did they pull? You got a decent limit considering it's Wal-Mart.
It looks like you are in with GEMB seeing that you got approved for JCP and WM.

Report Pulled on 2008-09-16
They pulled TU 630, I really didn't think they would approve but they did. Most of my negaitve late payments I have from my layoff in 2002 will be falling off in the next 90 days its been 7 years.

Old Bills on 2008-09-16
Is the 7 years that you mention the statue where you live?
In California its 4 years I think so does that mean old bill will be remove from your credit report?

If you pull your TU report you will see the date its supposed to be removed, I have never heard of a State policy.

Already Reported 3 Credit Bureaus on 2008-09-19
I just updated my true credit report and walmart reported to all 3 bureaus, I don't even have the card yet. It even shows card number and accounts current. They don't mess around.

I am late to the party as usual and probably nobody will see this but the 4 years in CA is the statute of limitations on the collections side of things, but it will still report to the bureaus for 7 years as it should.
One thing to keep in mind though is that the 7 years starts at the first date of delinquency. Meaning the date the account started to go bad. Usually it takes about 5 months for an account to charge off, so instead of going from the month of charge off you could really go back 5 months to the first day it became past due leading up to the charge off.
