Hi Folks, just got approved online for the AE Optima No Fee card w/ CL $5K - my Fico is 725 for the last 2 months. My two black AE cards (LA and NY) have been replaced by the AE Blue card. Let's see which card arrives first. My wife opens all my mail. eek

Black Card Or Centurion Card? on 2008-08-15
When you said the black card was discontinued.
are you referring to the " centurion Card" ?

No on 2008-08-15
There was a black NY and LA card, but apparently it didn't do well and it was discontinued. The only thing that they had in common with the Centurian card is that it's black... Nothing else.

I was planing to apply for this NY card next year oh well.

Way to go! Nice limit and nice scores, please keep us updated with your overall use of the card. There are a few AMEX threads started in the Network, I am sure a lot of AMEX cardholders would love to hear from you.
