amyb98's review: Just got approved online yesterday with a $300 limit. I will only use it for clothes for my kids and PIF. I can't wait to see how the CLI will go and if there will be the 21 day hold on payments the way there have been on others' accounts. I don't plan on using it often, but I do want to build my credit up. I will use my JCP card more because I went from $200 cl in March to a $1000 cl now. I wonder how Dillard's will compare to JCP? Oh well, I'm about to find out!
I'm unsure exactly what my scores are, somewhere between 590-630 was what CreditKeeper told me. Hope this helps someone else!

Way To Go on 2008-08-07
They usually isue $150-$200 cl, you are lucky. I can tell you this, the clI will NOT compare to JcPenny, Dillards is slow and stingy with cli's.

I Was Approved As Well on 2008-08-08
I was approved in the store on Sunday as well. I guess we will both find out about how their cl will work.

Congrats on 2008-08-08
Congrats. My daughter got approved in store for $1500 Dillards Amex but when she received the card, it had been bumped up to $2300. Her report is clean and she has close to 700 Fico scores.
To the OP, don't pay attention to Credit keepers scores. The only ones that matter are Fico scores. eg. True Credit has my EQ score at 627 but my Fico score is much closer to 700.
Pay on time, keep utilization low and see how it goes. You're right, JCPenny does seem to give better CLIs.

Congrats on 2008-08-20
I can tell you that when you apply in the store, the credit limits are higher than $300. Usually, $800, $1k, $600. If you are approved for the Dillards Amex, it is never lower than $1300, usually $1500.
