sethatco's review: I already have a Amex and 2 MasterCards and plenty of store & gas cards from Citi but never took a Visa. I got a pre-approval online while paying my bill. The application was only 5 questions. 30 seconds later I was approved for 20k 14.99%APR no AF. I called customer service and told them I leave for China on the 11th and needed the card by then, so they agreed to overnight it, should have it today will update over all experience.

A Diffrent Way Of Doing Things on 2008-08-05
Everyone has something bad to say about each bank, I was PO'ed at CITI for a long time, when I got nailed with ID theft my student loan with them went into default because of it and they canceled my credit cards. After a little back and forth they gave in and made it right, now they are one of my go to banks, loans, credit cards, equity lines. It's all how you manage the relationship

It is how you manage your relationship with them. They look at what kind of accounts you have with them also. IE checking, savings, cd's, mortgages, lines of credit, etc.
They have always treated me superbly even when things in my life weren't the greatest, they still helped me.
I worked for them for over 10 years, and one of the things I liked most about Citi was that they didn't just base their approvals or denials on just FICO numbers, they took the whole credit picture into consideration, and how you are managing things now. Most banks just shut the door in your face and say reapply later!

Good To see Citi still issues new Visa's. They went totally MasterCard in the late 90's-still are really except for this card or if you are a student.
I miss their old logo too... Love Citibank!
