baystate's review: Callout Comment I've had the BOA Platinum Plus Visa since 12/07, started with a $2500 CL. I called BOA for another issue and was told that I was eligible for an upgrade to the WorldPoints Plat Plus Visa. They also increased my CL to $3500. I think BOA considers your relationship with them when making these approvals. I've been with BOA for a lot of years; checking, money market etc. They've always treated me very well and I would never bank with anyone else. BTW, my scores are TU 664, EX 672, EQ 666.

Remarks Congrats on the new upgrade! I was upgraded to this card from a student Platinum Plus Visa after a year of maintaining a positive payment history. I started with a $750 CL and now I'm at $2,000. It's a great card with a nice rewards program as long as you can take advantage of it.

Remarks Does anyone know if it is difficult to get the BOA Extra Rewards MLB Card? I'm a huge Red Sox fan and would love to have that card but don't want to waste an inquiry if this is a tough one to get. The profile for the card says excellent credit, but there are no responses from any members to indicate what success anyone has had with this one.

6 Months Or More User Icon on 2008-09-01

Remarks It will take 6 months most likely 9 months or a year before you see a cli. I would wait at least a year before applying for another account. FIA card service who does all of BOA's credit cards is tightening the lines, not reducing credit lines like Amex but not giving big increses like Chase or Citi.

Remarks That's a nice card one I wish I could get.

why ask for a cli when you have 10k

in these times that's very good so I would say don't push your luck but what do I know I cant even get one of those.

Remarks It has been my experience that BofA will give you a credit line increase just for sneezing. Not literally of course. Last June I had a $15K limit, I used the card for a $100 brake job and by August they increased it to $16K. Early this year I used a purchase check from BofA for $900 and in July they raised my limit to $19K.

To be honest with you, with everything going on right now with banks and the economy, keep your $10K because that is really all you need. You've arrived when you get $10K limits so you don't want to push it.
