I'm pretty excited today as DH and I had a Nordtrom several yrs ago ($4k) but it was closed to inactivity. DH does not like to owe anyone.
I missed the card and my credit wasn't in the position to apply again as I'm rebuilding. My daughter who has perfect credit but not a long history applied on line several days ago but she got the 7-10 day message. I thought for sure that she was going to be declined especially as she had about 5inquiries on EX but she did have Amex, BOA and a few good trade lines with low utilization.
Well, in the mail today, we got a Nordstrom white envelope with a dress rack, boots, shooes, women walking dalks in color on it. I just knew that she had gotten the card.
Details:
$1k limit, 15.9% apr - not bad for a dept. Store
Experian: Fico 687
However, the silver hologram card is a bit cheesy. It feels very light, almost like plastic. I don't recall the old card feeling this cheesy.

Hello shark6 how are you today will nordtrom card is a good to have if you like shopping at nordtron like my wife lol but that's good to hear that your daughter got the card I know when I got my Nordtrom card they only gave me something like 200 CL BUT NOW THAT I HAVE HAD THE CARD FOR LIKE 4 1/2 YEARS MY CL IS LIKE 3900

Congrats to you and your daughter on the new card. That is an excellent interest rate for a store card. I believe the card will grow with you so just make sure it's always showing activity and you're making your payments on-time.
