cireone's review: I received a pre-approved offer through the mail and decided that I wouldnt mind adding a gas card. Well when I applied it gave me the "response in 30 days" message. Well, I thought another inquiry wasted. But to my surprise, I checked my mail and found an envelope the only had a return address on it, felt it (I am a pro at feeling if it is a credit card already, LOL) and it was a card. Opened it and saw the Shell logo. I was surprised. SO now I have the Shell card. Its issued by Citi and I haven't had a great relationship with Citi since my first card with them went into default and then was stolen. I guess this is our time for reconciliation.

Congrats! on 2008-07-19
Congrats on the new approval. I keep receiving pre-approvals for this card and I just put them into the shredder because I'm not interested in a gas card. I have all the cards I need.
Hope you can share your limit and scores at the time of application to help out our fellow FG members interested in this card.
Thanks

Congrats! Oh my goodness, almost the same thing happened to my daughter today. She has been bombarded with pre-approvals from gas companies.
Shell sent her a second preapproval and she applied. She got the 30day processing message as well and her credit is squeaky clean.
I hope that her story ends like yours and she gets it. She also got preapprovals for exxon/mobil, sunoco, chevron, BP etc.
How much was your limit? The good thing is that you can use Shell cards at Jiffy Lube, however, their gas is always more expensive.

Well, I was approved for the "personal" card. It has a low limit of $200, wiht a cash advance of $60. I believe the APR is somewhat in the range of 19-21%. Kinda high but its what I expected. My scores were in the low 600s. Keep in mind that this is my first card from Citi since defaulting on my very first credit card with them only to have the card stolen and then the account closed. They have not been friendly with me until now. I was also approved for Exxon/Mobil card with the same terms, unfortunately they are closing up stations faster than I could get there to gas, lol.
