marym's review:
I have applied over and over for this card. Everytime I did I would get a letter saying they couldn't verify my address and phone number. So I call and answered some questions and they tell me congrats your approved. I have a $200.00 credit limit.
I heard that if you wait 3 months they will raise your credit limit to $500. What I'm wondering is it better to PIF or leave a balance. I really don't want to be stuck with a 200 limit forever.

PIF Or Balance
on 2008-06-19
As stated on nationalscoreindex.com which is an experian official site it's better to leave a balance for your own good, this raises your score when there is a balance on your report.
so if you spend $40 pay off $25 and keep $15 as a balance.
also never charge over 30% of you limit. If it was me I would do this for ist 3 months then zero out(pif) every month so I wont forget the remaining balnce next month.

My 2 Cents And What I Did...
on 2008-06-20
I applied 04/2007, approved for $200.
When I got the card... I nearly maxed out...2 online purchases and 2 instore...$189 balance on my first bill... I pif.
2nd bill... I charged $98 instore and pif.
3rd bill... A CLI to $500, charged $73 and made 2 pymts to pif.
This is what I did and I got the CLI on my 3rd stmt... Maybe its a mixture of shopping there ALOT and PIF.
IDK, hopes this helped!

Puller
on 2008-06-20
Target is normally a Transunion and equifax puller, but they have pulled experian on a few people. When the cb gets busy when they are pulling your report, it automatically reroutes the creditor to the next availabe cb. This is why I try to keep my toes tapplying when I get my cr pulled by creditors.

Does anyone have a redcard with a credit limit of more than $500?

I think I heard Target will issue you a target Visa when they put you over $500.
