This card is great. although it only offers 1% cash back on purchases, an online high yield savings account is automatically opened up for you. once you make your first purchase, AMEX deposits $50 in the account for you. you can transfer money into the account from any checking account you have, which is nifty and keeps you from making extra trips to the bank. currently the apy on the account is 2.75%, which is a lot higher than most banks. its great to watch your money sit there and grow if youre not too big on saving!
