maribella's review: Citibank's A&T Universal Card was the second card to give me a card with no annual fee. My credit limit is $2,000. I have not had any problems with this card at all. It comes with a lot of features, it has a built in calling card, phone loss insurance. And it also comes with the thank you points.
Thank You points: I have had no problems with the site. It is easy to get to from the account website, and easy to use. They tell you all the points that you have saved up.
The card did take forever to get. I applied, and about 3 weeks later they wanted me to verify my address, so I did right away, and then it took an additional 3 weeks for the card to get to me in the mail.
The customer service is really nice, I called to get a card for my husband, and it was out in about 4 days.

If You Don't Mind on 2008-06-06
If you don't mind, what were you scores when you got this card?
I'm hoping to be in the 675 range before Christmas and want to get my foot in the door with either Citi or Chase.
Thanks

I would highly advise Citibank because there credit line will be better and chase isn't good with credit line unless you have a FICO 730 +
but its your choice,
TAKE CARE,
Alex

Congrats on your approvals. Hey wildrage, my sister had this card (before she damaged her credit) and she was able to get it while in the mid 600's with a few lates, and if I can remember, 2 charge off's. That was back in 2004 or 2005 though, so I am pretty sure things have changed now. Just thought I will put my 2 cents in for ya.

App Status on 2008-06-06
I see that she reported that she had a 622 and got a $2,000 limit in the application status section of this site... I didn't think Citibank approved with scores that low...

When my scores get into the mid 600 range I'm going to go for banks like barclays and WaMu. Will wait until they are 700 for Citi and chase.

Don't Know... on 2008-06-06
I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but before my bankruptcy I had this card with perfect payments, never late... Also I have had At&t for like three years now, (cell phone) not missing one payment.

That is because banks does not based their decisions by scores alone. Ohh man, you should have seen peoples getting approved with the Direct rewards card with high 500's and I was denied in mid 600's and they had more charge offs than I did. They have their own way of approving someone.

Got Approved With A Bk Maribelle? on 2008-06-08
May I ask how long ago your bk was? mine was 5/07... I did however have this card before my bk with no lates but closed it out about 5 years before the bk... I am in the high 500 with my FICO... And only 1 charge off but is being disputed because it was to be included in my bk.
Also have a cell phone that is now with at&t due to a merger and best best of all I worked for that cell phone company so now I am an at&t employee!) don't know if that makes a difference though!!)

It was December 2001. But I just started working on my credit like 2 years ago. After my Bk, I didn't want another credit card. So It took awhile for me to want to try and make my credit better.
