I have had this card for almost 6 month now. I was well aware of the upfront fees once I activated the card, and have not had any issues with trying to use it anywhere. I normally pay off the card every month and only use it when absolutely necessary. I am sure that once I have re-established my credit I will want to cancel the account and hopefully at that time I will not run into any issues.
