rebuildme's review: I recently applied for a cap one credit card in Dec 2007 and was approved. My initial credit line was $5k. After filing bankruptcy almost 5 years ago I did'nt think that was possible. My credit scores at the time was 620eq, 600ex, 652tr. Anyway within 5 mos time my credit line is now $6250 thanks to the backdoor number and credit steps

Congrats! on 2008-05-21
That's a breakthrough for you and for us because most of us who have applied for Capital One cards have received initial limits around $300-$500. It's a really good card for everyday purchases. I don't know how their rewards program is but nonetheless, it's a great card!
Good Luck

That is truly outstanding! Major Congrats...
I think its really great to have access to information like this. What to do, what not to do after a BK and so fourth. I wish I was reading the forums back then after my discharge. I know there's a lot of things I wouldn't have done if only I'd known. I avoided cap1 despite all the thousand of pre-approval letters they were sending out because they were included in my discharge and I didn't think they would give me another shot. Lo and behold they gave me another shot and I'm happy to rebuld that relationship.
Also with the credit steps how often did they increase you? Every three or six months???

I really want to get the message out there to all the credit rebuilders. Capital One and Hooters are the best rebuilding cards. I have two capital one cards one with a 1500.00 and one with 4500.00 limit and I had some charge offs and everything on my report. Rebuilders really need to get Orchard Cap One and Hooters if they can. They are the best banks for bad credit.

Cap One Cashback on 2008-05-22
I love this card... I have a $1k limit... I use credit cards with rewards only nowadays... This card has 1% cashback so I use it a few times a month... Apr is 14.49% ---not too bad not great... I had a Cap 1 platinum MC but there were no rewards, a $39 annual fee, 17% apr... So I consolidated the accounts to one. This card has a $19 AF. I also have a Cap1 Visa No hassle Points Visa with a $500 limit... I am going to do a review on both cards in a few days.
