debtor00's review: I got a backdoor increase on one of my cap 1 cards from 500 to 1000 three months ago. I got the increase before the credit steps program kicked in. the credit steps program had me scheduled to go from 500 to 750 after three on time bill cycles, but since I had already gotten a backdoor increase to 1000, the credit steps program kicked me up to 1500!!! Yeah!!! So for all you finance globers that just got a capital one, it may be workth it to give that backdoor number a try even before your credit steps kicks in!!

I used to get some CLI's from the backdoor number but now I wouldn't be able to even if hell froze over! Lol

I had a similar situation. In the span of 4 months I went from 300 to 1600 after using back door and when my credit steps kicked in.
Good Luck all

Capital One Is Rocking on 2008-05-21
I recently applied for a cap one credit card in Dec 2007 and was approved. my initial credit line was $5k. After filing bankruptcy almost 5 years ago I did'nt think that was possible. My credit scores at the time was 620eq, 600ex, 652tr. Anyway within 5 mos time my credit line is now $6250 thanks to the backdoor number and credit steps.
