I received a "pre-approved" notice for this credit card and after reading the comments on here I took a few minutes to read the back of the "pre-approved offer". Seems this offer is mailed out by a 3rd party and on the back of the app it said " subject to credit approval by Washington Mutual". Which means to me that WM has the final say so and the word preapproved is misleading. So if you've had a BK or your credit is bad and you know this, I wouldn't waste my time. Seems like WAMU is using the old cliche- Lets throw it against the wall and see what sticks.
