kellbell's review: Callout Comment I have a very low limit on this card even though I have a very decent payment history on it. I usually use this card at Sephora.com and as everyone knows, there is really nothing you can buy with a measley $200.00 limit. I really do not want to close it because it is part of my beauty budget... Including the eyebrow waxing salon services on top of Sephora's Bare Escentuals and Bliss face cream.

Furthermore, JC Penney is a great retailer and this card brings more coupons and deals than any other retail card I have ever had with the exception of Kohl's.

When can I expect to get a CLI? I see there is an option on my online account manager, but I requested an increase once before to no avail.

I haven't had much luck with these online CLI requests. Is there a back door number like Capital One has?

Remarks What do you mean by decent payment history? Does it include any late payments? I know for a fact that members on here who have been able to maintain a good payment history have received a few CLI's. Creditors don't like any late payments and they take that into consideration when they approve/deny you for a CLI.

Remarks No late payments, HJM. Been there. Done that a LONG time ago when I was in college. NO LATE PAYMENTS ON ANYTHING IN THE PAST FOUR YEARS. NONE.

Remarks Call them and see what is up Kellbell. You are the last of the tribe to have a cl of $200 and no cli. When they offered you the $200, did you apply on-line? Usually it is low when you apply online, but when they can verify income info or identification, they usually increase the cl. Let us know what happen.

JcPennys? Ahhh naaa come on penny's, don't knock Kellbell down like that.

Hjm331... Can you help me back up?

Remarks I applied online after a preapp for this card a while back and got instantly approved at $300... Thats a low limit when I have other cards that are WAY higher. I called CS since I was given my acct # and was ready for use and asked if I could get an increase and the rep said that the ONLY way to do so is my going into a store to verify my identity... So I'm waiting on the card which I should get this week so I can do that...

I think the JCP card is gonna b like a walmart; when you reqst online its gonna say "must establish 4 months of good pymt history" or whatnot. Even if you wait those 4 months I don't think the CLI will b much... MY first CLI on my walmart was $75! Made it an even $200!!! Thats a joke.

Other than that I have read really good reviews on the JCP card on this site... So I'm really expecting something good out of them... We shall see!
