rickella's review: I applied on-line for the Pet Rewards Platinum Plus Visa Credit Card by Bank of America (I have two dogs; figured I would use it pretty much just for them). I received a "we typically approve immediately but we have to verify some information..." Has anyone else had this response from Bank of America? If so, what was the final result? My scores are 738 across the board. Let me know if you think I got big DENIED.

ITS POSSIBLE on 2008-05-08
I did as well get that same message with boa nfl card, said that they would send me a email in a couple of days, they never did and kept on checking status and it said still verify a month later, so I called them and said it was denied, recived a letter about a month later, my score at the time was 660 and the reason was too many inquiries... Hope this helps, but you could get approved, keep me posted... Tim

More Than 1 BofA Card? on 2008-05-08
You will receive that message if you already have more than 1 card provided by Bank of America or FIA Card Services.
I got the same response when I applied for the Bank of America Am. Ex card. I already have a Platinum Plus Mastercard since 2000, now they sent me an offer to convert to the World Points Mastercard and a Merrill Lynch Visa card. With the Charles Schwab Visa card I got the exact same response that you did online. I didnt hear anything for almost 8 days even online checking the status.
I called Charles Schwab bank that advised they are handled by FIA Card services and also brought up my BankofAm Mastercard and Merrill Lynch Visa Card. At the time, they told me they could approve the Charles Schwab Card by allocating part of my credit limit towards the new card. I wasnt gonna use $20K in credit on my MasterCard, so they decreased the limit and deferred $2500 to the new Charles Schwab Visa card at 7.14%.
You will probably get the card, but I would call them tomorrow if I were you. That message does not mean you were denied in any way. Your FICO score is pretty high, mine was around 734 but its dropped recently to 717.
I hope this helps!! Rockin35!

It's A Different Story For Everyone on 2008-05-08
I have a BofA Student Platinum Plus Visa and it will be one year old next month. Since I have maintained a good payment history with them, I thought I'd apply for their AMEX. I got the same message as you did and didn't hear anything from them for a month so I waited for the letter thinking I got denied. Two weeks ago, the new AMEX account appeared with the rest of my BofA accounts and I realized that I was approved. By the way, my FICO's were in the mid 600's so I believe my good payment history was the reason why I got approved. So just wait it out and hope that you get approved. Good luck.
