kellbell's review:
I applied for this card around Christmas time and I thought that I wasn't approved. I sort of gave up on this one until I started applying for credit in late March and much to my surprise, was getting approved left and right. I decided to apply again whereupon I received correspondence from Target National Bank stating that they still had my application on file, but needed identity verification. They requested a utility bill in my name and a photocopy of my driver's license with my married name on it. I couldn't furnish either. My driver's license states my maiden name and all of my utilities are in the hubby's name. So I sent them a lengthy letter stating my position, some photocopies of receipts from online orders sent to my current address with my married name, and a photocopy of my pay stub.
I let that ride for a couple weeks and voila! The Redcard comes in the mail..$200.00 limit!
Should I call to ask for the Visa? Or even a CLI? It seems that everything is negotiable...

CLI

From what I've read here, your chances at a higher limit are nearly null. Some people have reported having this card for a year and still stuck at $200.

You Know What....

I heard that if you make your first 3 monthly payments on time, they will give you an increase but I don't know by how much. That's something to look forward to though.

Got this card 04/2007 started at $200. 3 months later I got an increase to $500 and now it sits a year later at that same $500... Good luck to you!

I Would Not Press My Luck

The $200 is there for a reason. In my case, I had the card for 5 months and could never get an increase, while others were receiving $300 cli's. So I canceled it. If I were you Kellbell, I will stop while you are ahead, the inquiries are going to start giving you denials from tier one and subprimed creditors. Just a little throw in for you, I know you make your won choices.

You're Right

I went a little application crazy because I was so proud of myself that I had rebuit my credit. You are right that I will start getting denials because well, I was denied the GM card due to "too many inquiries" and "too many new accounts"!
