helen's review: This credit card company feeds on the unfortunate. They will definitely approve your application even if you have a bankruptcy on file. However, they apparently make their living off of the account start up fees and a set recurring monthly $10.00 fee.
It is extremely difficult to get a hold of these people and if you forget your userid and password to their online system, good luck in reaching someone to gain access.
You definitely can't use the card at a gas station outside. To use your card at a gas station requires that you step inside the station to process a charge. I think this is annoying. Basically, anything that requires an authorization without a set dollar amount will be denied.
The most interesting thing to me was even though I always pay my bills on time, they have an automated recording system that will call and harass you on the due date and continue calling. For some reason, even when I mail out a check 2 1/2 weeks in advance to this credit card company... They don't seem to get it on time and it's always processed 3 to 4 days after the due date. Maybe it's the postal service... Maybe its them trying to post a $30.00 late charge. I don't know for sure.
Let's put it this way, the customer service has much to be desired. The individuals there are belligerent and the slightest frustration you show will be considered aggressive by them. Just because I have bad credit doesn't make me a derelict.
I cut my losses and canceled this card! Word of advice... Use a prepaid credit card company like First Premier... I've never had any problems with them.
