tamellie's review: I applied for this card online but because I have a fraud alert I had to call to verify information. I was told I was approved for $1000.00, Four days later I received an email saying I was denied because they were unable to verfiy my info. I was really pissed and I was told to apply again, the second time around my CL drops to $800 : ( I hate Wal-Mart

Remove Inquiry#2 on 2008-04-30
Hello,
If you applied twice in the same week, politely ask Wal-Mart Credit department to submit a reversal for the 2nd inquiry. Secondly, what you experienced is basically "poor and uninformed" customer service. No CSR in the credit department should be asking you to reapply for the card once your credit line became established at $1000 on the first try. Even with the email notification to call and confirm your information should have sealed the deal with the expectation that your card was coming in the mail in 7-10 days!!.
I really think this was just an uneducated rep that you spoke with that perhaps didnt understand HOW to fix your issue or even dealt with a "Fraud Alert" consumer. I say this because I used to work in a credit department and have worked side/by/side with "tom-foolerys" (dumb/not to smart folks) that didnt know their job functions or better yet, how to effectively decision credit applications.
Once you get the card, give them a call and explain your issue. They will see those 2 hard inquiries and perhaps change your credit line back to $1000. This is something that can easily be fixed, try it once you get the card.
I hope this helps. Rockin35!

At least you got approved with a high CL. Mine was $125!!! How pathetic is that! Now it sits at $200 even more pathetic!
