rickella's review: After what seemed like forever, my Hooters Mastercard finally arrived. Question: Am I obligated to activate this card right away? Do I have time to just let it sit for a while. It's only a $500 limit and I don't really charge much anyway and there's an annual fee involved that I wouldn't mind taking my sweet time on. So, how much time do I get before I have to activate? Anyone have an answer? Let me know. Thank you.

Has Same Question... on 2008-04-21
I got my card today as well and asked that same question of the CSR. She said that there was no set time frame but I would still be bound to the terms of the card. Since I had a $72 annual fee we closed the account. You are in a better position.
You can access your account right now before activating.

Better To Do It Now on 2008-04-21
I'm not sure if they have a policy where there's a certain period of time where you should activate your card but you you should do it ASAP. Just focus on paying the AF and you'll be building credit history at the same time. I would just sockdrawer the card. G/l

Good Question on 2008-04-22
I wonder what shows on your cr if you do not activate a card? I never thought of that one. I did not know that fees will be applied if you did not activate it. Look at your terms and agreement, you know, the life-long contract that the card comes with... Lol. Way to go on the arrival.

Hooters report before you activate the card. I moved to another state and never received my first card. When I check my credit report they said I had a payment due. They sent me out another card and I made the 20.00 annual fee just in time...
