rickella's review: I started a checking and savings with Wamu in December; applied for their Platinum MasterCard and was denied at that time. I walked into my branch and re-applied last week and this time got approved. I received the Welcome Packet today stating my card was on its way and amazingly the CL is $4500. I was happy Wamu showed me a little love even if it took a little bit of time.

Congrats! on 2008-04-19
I just received my ESPN VISA card with a CL of $2,000 which is also issued by WaMu. They denied me for the WaMu Mastercard. Go figure. Enjoy your new card, I know I will.

I Wonder? on 2008-04-21
Are there different underwriting standards for the MasterCard vs the Visa? I have the Visa which I got on a pre-approval but couldn't get the MasterCard.

Wondered About That Myself. on 2008-04-22
I applied and was approved through my Wamu branch. The only credit card offered through the branch was the Mastercard. I thought about applying for the Visa online, but am trying to keep inquires low since I'm trying to get pre-approved for a home loan. I'll keep researching it in the meantime.

THANKS WAMU! on 2008-05-15
I bk'd in 05 and I have built a solid credit history since..660-680 scores. I had to settle for all of those sh**ty high APR low CL cards to rebuild... And WAMU was the first company to break ranks and gave me a limit of $4000.00! (included a bal transfer of 2K) Since then, I ave graduated into the big league CC's with fat limits and low APR's. I keep their balances low, however almost all of my credit charges go on my WAMU... It's my way of saying thanks for giving me the first break... GO WAMU!!

WaMu is a good card and is easier to get than Citi and BofA. The best part is that they are one of the top banks in the U. S. So it opens door to other top tier banks. Congrats on the great card and hope you enjoy it.
